Install WordPress
If you’re new to WordPress, we recommend installing WordPress.org. This will give you access to the latest version of WordPress, as well as the ability to download updates directly from the developers.
Choose a Theme
Once you’ve installed WordPress, you’ll need to choose a theme. The theme is a collection of HTML code that makes up the structure of your site. Add Pages & Posts
After choosing a theme, you’ll need to add pages and posts to your site. This will allow visitors to navigate through your site and find what they’re looking for. Adding pages and posts is easy with WordPress. Simply click “Add New” at the top of any screen and select the type of page or post you’d like to add.
Customize with Plugins
Once you’ve added some content, you’ll want to make sure your site looks good. There’s no shortage of plugins available to help you do just that. In fact, there are more than 30,000 plugins available for WordPress alone! If you’re not familiar with them, we recommend starting out by installing one of the free ones first. Then, once you’ve got a feel for how things work, you can start exploring the paid options.
Publish!
Creating a new post is easy. Just click the “New Post” button at the top right corner of your screen. Fill out the form and hit publish. That’s it! Now you have a recent blog entry.
